What was Hitler Youth?
It was the official youth organization in Germany and was partially a paramilitary organization. The section of Hitler Youth for boys was known as Deutsches Jungvolk and it was for ages 14 to 18. The camps typically took place after school and the activities ranged from militaristic activities to propaganda and brainwashing. This connects to a militaristic rise of the Nazi Germany well because of how it was training the youth, Germany's next generation, into soldiers before they were even eligible for the Army. It meant that an entire generation would know the military as their culture.
